Polendenkmal. Ink on Canvas. 11" x 17". The Polendenkmal Monument in Berlin's Friedrichshain district is one of the city's most famous skate spots. The Polendenkmal was built in 1972 as a memorial for soldiers killed in the fight against National Socialism. It's fame in the skateboard scene is mainly due to its perfect ground and the multiple stair sets, which can also be skated in a line. Another highlight is the manual pads as well. This spot has popped in international skate videos for over a decade and is still thriving. Part of an on-going series titled "Boarding Pass".
