Orange Peels - Miami

Orange Peels. Ink on Canvas. 11" x 17". "Orange Peels" is one of Miami Florida's most iconic and aesthetically interesting skate spots. This sculpture turned skate spot goes by a different name in the art world; "Dropped Bowl with Scattered Slices and Peels". sculpture represents a shattered bowl whose contents of orange slices and peels have scattered about the ground. Made of cast concrete, steel plate and reinforced cast resin, all painted in the appropriate bright colors, the work of art was created by well-known artist Claes Oldenberg and Coosje Van Bruggen. Turns out it's also a blast to skate and a pleasure to see in skate videos. Part of an on-going series titled "Boarding Pass". "Boarding Pass" is a series of Posters celebrating some of Skateboarding's most iconic, beloved, and amazing skate spots, world wide.
